C-Mac: Aaron Judge on best stretch of his career, doubters can 'shut up'
Aaron Judge continues to ride his unprecedented hot streak, going deep two more times over the weekend as he has firmly cemented himself at or near the top of several offensive categories despite his brutal start to the season.
The month of May has been a torrid one for Judge, as he is posting a 1.443 OPS with a .383 batting average and 11 home runs so far. Judge has had some monster months in the past, like the final month of his rookie season or take your pick for a month during his historic 2022 campaign, but C-Mac says this Judge is the best we’ve ever seen.
“As great as he was in 2022 when he hit 62 home runs, this is the best version of Aaron Judge that I have ever seen,” C-Mac said. “We are watching the best version of the best hitter in baseball.
“Aaron Judge right now, for the last month, is out of this world…after a down first month, he is leading Major League Baseball in OPS…he is leading baseball at such a clip in barrel percentage, the distance between him and the second place hitter is the same distance between the second place hitter and 48th.”
After all the concern about Judge’s toe injury and his slow start to the season, C-Mac wants the doubters to acknowledge that they were worried about the best hitter in baseball, who has been playing like it, and then some, for the last month.
“You can’t get him out,” C-Mac said. “I want you all to hear me, and then I want you all to shut up. Because I don’t want to hear it again about his contract, his age, his playoff performance.”
