C-Mac: Despite what Aaron Judge says, Yankees are '100 percent done' making offseason moves

C-Mac partnered up with BT on Wednesday, and began by shutting down BT’s conviction of the Yankees making another big move in their starting rotation this offseason, especially not signing Blake Snell.

Aaron Judge told reporters Tuesday that he believed another move could be coming, but C-Mac isn’t buying it for a second.

“They are 100 percent done. Judge has no idea what he’s talking about,” C-Mac said. “They’re absolutely done. There’s nothing else to do. There’s nothing else to be had. I love Judge, and we all know the impact he’s had on the team and the offseason…he’s said this before. Last year, we heard the same thing, ‘We’re not done.’”

C-Mac likes the team as constructed, though agrees that another starter would be ideal. Still, the Yankees have a recent pattern of making big offseason moves while still leaving some areas of the roster unattended or only slightly improved, and he doesn’t believe this winter will be an exception when it comes to the starting rotation. That will likely wait until the trade deadline.

“They needed a left fielder [in 2023]. They did nothing the entire offseason,” C-Mac said. “Didn’t get one…they told Judge when they signed him, ‘We have more coming.’ They go out and sign Rodon. That’s the big move. ‘we still have more coming.’ It never comes to fruition. They made their big move with Soto, they offered Snell a contract, he says no, they pivot to Stroman…they’re done.”
