C-Mac: 'Anything is possible' for Yankees with Juan Soto and Aaron Judge in middle of lineup

Juan Soto blasted three home runs on Tuesday night, the first time in his career that he left the yard three times in one game.

It was just what the Yankees needed after a miserable loss to the lowly White Sox the night before, and for C-Mac, it was an opportunity to make sure Soto’s greatness is truly being appreciated by Yankee fans in 2024.

“As impossible as it is to have Juan Soto overshadowed…it’s almost as if Juan Soto has, in many ways, become a secondary topic,” C-Mac said. “For him to put this team on his back…Juan Soto IS a Yankee.”

How could Soto, on the cusp of setting a career high in home runs and posting one of the finest seasons in Yankee history by some metrics, be overshadowed? Mainly because Aaron Judge is having an even better season, but for C-Mac, he chooses to focus on the fact that both of these elite hitters get to bat back-to-back in the same lineup, which has been a treat to watch.

“No matter what else happens, the middle of that order is devastating and historic, they have an ace at the top of the rotation , the bullpen has some answers coming back, and ultimately, this Yankee team is as good as anybody,” C-Mac said. “It was a good reminder that two of the greatest baseball players, arguably to ever live, are hitting in the middle of this Yankee lineup.

“No matter what happens, anything is possible when you have those two guys in the middle of the lineup.”
