More Yankee arms are dealing with injuries at spring training, most recently a prominent rotation piece.
Carlos Rodon, the Yankees’ big free agent prize of the winter outside of Aaron Judge, will start the regular season on the IL with a left forearm strain, Brian Cashman told reporters on Thursday, via The Athletic. Rodon will not throw for the next 7-10 days.

Rodon was knocked around in his first spring outing, and will now have to wait even longer to get back on track. He was expected to slot in behind Gerrit Cole in a Yankee rotation that already is missing Frankie Montas, who could miss the entire season after undergoing elbow surgery.
In other Yankee injury news, Tommy Kahnle will join Rodon on the IL to start the season as he continues to battle biceps tendinitis, while fellow reliever Lou Trivino, the secondary piece in the Montas trade who came on in a big way down the stretch last season, will also be on the IL with and elbow ligament strain.
