CC Sabathia’s baseball career may be over, but who says it’s too late for his football career to begin?

The former Yankees and Indians ace, who is a die-hard Raiders fan, made a pitch to his favorite team on Saturday before Day 2 of the NFL Draft by posting his game tape from high school where he played tight end.

“@raiders if y’all looking for playmakers on day 2 of the draft here is my film,” he wrote.

The film, from 1997, shows the 6-foot-6 future MLB pitcher dominating on the gridiron as he towers over defenders struggling to bring him down and barrels his way toward the end zone.

There is even one clip of Sabathia showing off his arm that earned him million in baseball, catching a screen pass and airing it out downfield for a long touchdown pass.

In fact, Sabathia was an all-conference tight end who was even recruited by UCLA to play football, but he instead opted for the baseball diamond and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians with the 20th overall pick in the 1998 draft right out of high school.

It’s safe to say Sabathia made the right choice. He had a 19-year career in the majors and was a six-time All-Star, Cy Young Award winner and World Series champion — making a compelling case for the Hall of Fame.

And while the 40-year-old Sabathia may have shed his weight and looks more like a tight end again, his wife, Amber, summed his current athletic prowess up in the comments on his Instagram post.

“By the quality of this film,” she wrote, “not sure if the talent is still there.”
