Chad Green leaves Thursday's Yankees-Orioles game in sixth inning with forearm discomfort

Injury added to insult for the Yankees on Thursday, as Chad Green left the game in the middle of an at-bat in the sixth inning due to what the team later termed right forearm discomfort, and he will be re-evaluated Friday.

Green entered for Miguel Castro with two on and no one out in the sixth, and promptly struck out Robinson Chirinos before yielding a game-tying sac fly. Green then gave up Rougned Odor’s go-ahead single, and with a 1-2 count on Austin Hays, he made this pickoff throw to first that was his final action of the game:

As seen in the video, trainers came out to look at Green, who exited the game. Johnathan Loaisiga entered the game and walked Hays, then walked Ramon Urias to load the bases before striking out Trey Mancini to escape the inning with the Yankees only down 6-5.
