Dellin Betances is getting another crack at resurrecting his career, as he has reportedly inked a minor-league deal with the Dodgers.
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that Betances was heading to LA after two failed seasons with the Mets, where his velocity plummeted and he posted a 7.82 ERA in just 12.2 innings of work over two seasons. Prior to his Mets tenure, Betances was one of the best relievers in baseball with the Yankees, where he was an All-Star for four straight seasons from 2014 to 2017. His Yankee career included a 2.36 ERA with 633 strikeouts in 394.1 innings of work. His career was disrupted by shoulder and Achilles injuries, and had season-ending shoulder surgery last June.

Betances would earn $2.75 million if he makes the big-league roster, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. He joins another former dominant Yankee reliever with the Dodgers in Tommy Kahnle, who won’t be ready for Opening Day as he continues to recover from Tommy John surgery.
