One unlucky Blue Jays fan came just inches short of roughly $500,000.
As Aaron Judge’s historic 61st home run soared into the night at the Rogers Centre on Wednesday, one fan wearing a Bo Bichette jersey reached over the railing in left field with his outstretched glove, and the ball dropped just under his leather and fell into the Blue Jays bullpen.
The fan, clearly realizing what he just missed out on, turned around in disgust, tossed his glove away, and threw his arms in the air.
Later, he slammed his hat on his hip in continued frustration.
Safe to say, that fan isn’t quite as happy as Judge is right now.
