Fans that pried ball from Mookie Betts in World Series reportedly banned 'indefinitely'

The fans at Yankee Stadium that fought to pry a foul ball from Mookie Betts’ glove during game four of the World Series won’t be attending games any time soon.

According to the New York Post, Austin Capobianco and John P. Hansen have been banned from attending any MLB games “indefinitely” after the two were ejected from the game after Betts leaped to catch a foul pop down the right field line, but Capobianco and Hansen grabbed Betts’ wrist and pulled open his glove to jar the ball free. The play was ruled an out, the two fans were thrown out, and banned from game five.

Per The Post, the tickets belonged to a longtime season ticket holder who was unable to attend the game. They were allowed to keep their tickets.

The fans revealed that they had discussed the possibility of being involved in the action before the confrontation happened. Turns out, they were directly involved, and now have no idea when they will be able to attend a game again.
