Don't expect to see Giancarlo Stanton at bat during the Home Run Derby.
The Yankees' slugger told the New York Post on Saturday: "I don't want to. I've done it plenty of times, take a year off. Two years off."
Stanton previously won the Home Run Derby in 2016. The 28-year-old and reigning MLB home run champ has 21 homers this season.

Stanton isn't the only Yankee to say he'd skip next week's derby if invited. Teammate Aaron Judge has repeatedly made similar comments, saying he feels there is no need. He added that it is more important to stay healthy.
Judge won the competition last year as a rookie.

The Home Run Derby will be held at Nationals Park in Washington on July 16.
