Gio understands Juan Soto panic from Yankee fans given injury curse haunting New York sports
Boomer and Gio aren’t expecting Juan Soto to miss much time, if any, as he is set to undergo imaging on his forearm on Friday.
Still, while Gio himself isn’t very concerned, he understands the panic that has taken over the Yankee fanbase as they await word on the status of their new superstar.
“You can’t play any New York fan or New York Yankee fan for having some real fear about this after everything we have gone through injury wise in this town the last few years,” Gio said. “We saw it last year with Aaron Judge. We just went through it with the Knicks, everybody getting hurt. The Rangers had guys hurt, which probably hurt their chances of beating the Panthers. The Jets with Aaron Rodgers.
“When something like this happens, you’re like ‘Oh my God, again?’”
