Gio Urshela day-to-day after leaving Wednesday's game with lower back tightness

Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela left Wednesday night’s game with the Braves prior to the eighth inning with lower back tightness.

Urshela was 1-for-3 as the cleanup hitter, and appeared to be favoring his leg and running gingerly as he ran to first in the midst of an inning-ending double play in the sixth. He came out defensively in the seventh and made the final defensive out of the inning, recording the assist on a 5-3 putout, but when the Yankees came out defensively for the eighth, DJ LeMahieu moved from second to third and Rougned Odor took over at second.

According to manager Aaron Boone, no tests are scheduled, and the team believes it is a day-to-day issue.

"I don't think it's anything too serious," "I think it just locked up on him a little bit in the cold before his last at-bat.
