BT wanted the Yankees to move on from Brian Cashman, which it doesn’t seem like they will, but he believes Hal Steinbrenner was “embarrassed” this season to the point where an all-in offseason is coming.
“I believe, in the next couple of months, this Yankees offseason will feel like Yankee offseasons that we came to expect. I honestly believe that,” BT said.
“Embarrassment is a very potent emotion. There comes a point where you must react. I don’t care how patient you are…Hal Steinbrenner, at the end of the day, knows he was embarrassed. Even patient people have a breaking point, I know we’re upon it, and I believe he starts throwing out some crazy stuff this offseason.”
What kind of changes does he envision? Signing Cody Bellinger, Shohei Ohtani, or Yoshinobu Yamamoto? BT says it’s all on the table.
“Somewhere in the middle of the order, somewhere in the middle of the rotation, and somewhere in the outfield,” BT said when asked what he believes will be addressed this winter.
