Jasson Dominguez’s torrid spring continued with another home run on Saturday afternoon.
The Yankees’ hyped outfield prospect drilled a 108 mph rope over the right field seats to tie the game against the Phillies in Tampa, his fourth dinger of the spring in just his ninth game.
Dominguez, with the home run, raised his spring batting average to .421 with a 1.053 slugging percentage. The switch-hitting phenom has gone deep from both sides of the plate in his first taste of spring training.
Given Dominguez’s hot spring and the injury to Harrison Bader, many have voiced their desire to see the 20-year-old on the roster to start the season. given the fact that Dominguez isn’t on the 40-man roster and only saw limited time at Double-A last season, Dominguez starting the season in the majors is highly unlikely.
