Jerry & C-Lo: Does Aaron Judge have room to get even better?
A caller wondered if Aaron Judge still hasn’t shown his best yet, and if he can put together a season like this one but doesn’t struggle through April, he could get to 70 home runs in a season.
Jerry Recco certainly isn’t putting it past the Yankee slugger, who hit home runs 50 and 51 on Sunday afternoon.
“What’s crazy is, you might not be wrong,” Jerry said. “Think about that.”
C-Lo isn’t so sure if Judge’s window to get to 70 will be a big one, considering his size and age of 32 years old. But right now, he is in his prime, and it should be thoroughly enjoyed.
“Judge isn’t getting any younger either,” C-Lo said. “I’m not saying he’s going off a cliff...but age-wise, you hope he progresses well into his mid-30s and can play for a long time.
“He is a big man. You hope he doesn’t break down. His last couple years have been outrageously good, but I’m sure for him, he probably feels the clock is starting to tick on his peak, prime years, and right now, they have no World Series checked off for him, so he wants to get that done sooner rather than later.”
