Aaron Judge talked about the Yankees’ revamped roster behind Juan Soto and Alex Verdugo, and after taking a look at the projected lineup, Jerry agrees that the Bombers should be a lot better than last year.
“Looking at it this morning, this team should win a lot of games this year,” Jerry said. “They are really good.
“You almost forget Alex Verdugo on this team, and now Stanton, you’re not looking for him to be the Stanton of old…that lineup should be tremendous, and their pitching should be good enough.”
The Yankees are typically a lock for 90-plus wins, with 2023 being an anomaly compared to most of the last three decades. Jerry believes the right moves were made to get New York back to form in 2024.
“If this is not a 95-win team,” Jerry said. “I would be surprised.”
