Jerry: Yankees lineup could be among 'scariest we've ever seen' if Giancarlo Stanton produces

Giancarlo Stanton hit over 1,300 feet of home runs on Wednesday night, blasting three bombs in four innings as his transformed physical shape seems to be paying dividends so far this spring.

It’s enough for Jerry Recco to think big for the Yankee lineup with a productive Stanton in the middle of it.

“Everything is about Judge and Soto, and rightfully so. But we forget about him because he’s been a nothing. Last year, he was brutal,” Jerry said. “Could you imagine if Stanton had a resurgent season, Judge stayed healthy, and Soto did what we expect him to do? This would be one of the scariest lineups we’ve ever seen.”

All the talk is about Judge and Soto hitting back to back in the lineup this year, but Jerry says if Stanton is behind Judge hitting like he did in 2018, then the outlook completely changes for the better.

“That’s what they went for with Stanton and Judge,” Jerry said. “We saw glimpses of it, but it never stayed. This would really be something.”
