As the Mets reportedly shake up their front office with a number of top-level firings on Thursday, Keith wants to know when the Yankees will display such a level of self-awareness and open-mindedness.
“The Yankees have no coaching, they have no development. They’re lost,” Keith said. “They have no idea which way is left, right, up, or down.
“The Mets aren’t the Yankees. The Yankees are hella arrogant…the Mets understand this wasn’t working at all, and needed to change plans and reverse course a bit.”
The Yankees are reportedly considering hiring an outside company to expand their analytics operation, but Keith isn’t holding out much hope that it will lead to the front office shedding its arrogance and acknowledging that their way isn’t working.
“Don’t be so arrogant so say ‘Eh, it’s been a down year, injuries happen,’” Keith said. “They Mets are getting ready for change. Change is constant. Evolve or dissolve.”
