Keith rips 'clown' Jose Siri for slow home run trot, says players don't fear Yankees anymore

Jose Siri flipped his bat, admired his solo home run, and took more than 30 seconds to round the bases during Tampa Bay’s loss to the Yankees on Monday afternoon.

Aaron Judge appeared to stare down Siri as he stopped on his way around third base after hitting that home run to right field, which was Tampa’s first hit of the game that trimmed their deficit to three.

Keith didn’t like the slow trot from Siri at all, and wanted the Yankees to retaliate.

“Jose Siri is a clown,” Keith said. “I was like ‘Yo, hit the guy.’ I wasn’t down to throw at the Orioles, but at that point in the game, the Yankees were up, in his next at-bat, bean him. Just to bring these guys down.”

While Keith had a big issue with Siri, he says the bigger problem is that opposing players are more than comfortable pulling that kind of theatrics off in the Bronx.

“These teams don’t respect the Yankees,” Keith said. “They damn sure don’t fear the Yankees, and they don’t fear Yankee Stadium.”
