Keith rips 'idiot' Yankee fans for interfering with Mookie Betts: 'Embarrassing for all of us'

Keith McPherson was on the air right after the Yankees kept their season alive, and after praising the Bombers for their fight to avoid an embarrassing World Series sweep, he tore into the fans who grabbed Mookie Betts’ hands and tried to pry a foul ball from his glove in the first inning.

“We gotta be better as fans. That stuff is embarrassing for all of us,” Keith said. “People online who don’t know any better, they see two grown ass men grabbing Mookie Betts...that’s not what we do.

“Be better. I don’t care how many Bud Lights you put down. You’re a grown-ass man, and you’re making us all look bad...that fits the stereotype. When they want to say ‘Yankee fans are trash,’ that fits the stereotype.”

The two fans were escorted out of the stadium after the incident, and they both became social media sensations, with some ripping them for their behavior and others praising them for their dedication to helping the Yankees in any way they can. Keith said they should be receiving no praise at all, only heavy criticism.

“That guy was an idiot. His friend was an idiot,” Keith said. “And guess where they watched the game? From outside the ballpark...they paid thousands of dollars to sit there, and they missed a classic game.

“Respect the stadium and respect the players...we got guys literally assaulting Mookie Betts.”
