Keith says Aaron Judge is 'unlike anything we've ever seen': 'Stop comparing him to Barry Bonds'

Aaron Judge went deep yet again on Thursday, making it 48 for the season and putting him on pace to finish with 61.

If Judge can keep that pace, he would become just the third player in MLB history with multiple 60-homer seasons, joining Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire.

While fans are running out of ways to describe what Judge is doing right now, Keith says Judge is simply not human, and the Yankees have to rally around him and get him a ring while he’s in the prime of what could become one of the great offensive careers the league has ever seen.

“Right now, with what you’re getting out of Aaron Judge, you can’t waste this guy,” Judge said. “He’s a rare species. He’s some type of X-Men, mutant robot. He’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

“Stop comparing him to Barry Bonds…he was a juicehead with a size nine head. Aaron Judge is the natural. Aaron Judge is unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and it’s OK to admit that.”

Judge will likely be on a nightly home run watch again down the stretch, but Keith, like Judge, will keep the primary focus on October, where he thinks the Yankee captain is poised to thrive and end the narrative of Judge falling off in the postseason.

“This guy is on a ridiculous run, better than his 2022 run,” Keith said. “And the team is better, because right in front of him is the generational Juan Soto.”
