Keith says Yankees aren't finished making moves for 2024: 'They're not done until July 30'

The Yankees are likely done with their offseason after trading for lefty reliever Caleb Ferguson, and while Keith would have liked to have seen more, he says the 2024 team isn’t complete until the trade deadline passes this summer.

“They’re not done until July 30,” Keith said. “For every Yankee fan out there that thinks they can get everyone…they were in the front of the line to get Juan Soto. Got him…82-80 is in the past, and we are counting down the days until we don’t have to say that again. Until we are 1-0.”

As for the team that will take the field on Opening Day, Keith says it’s not hard to see the clear improvement to the roster, and is reason for Yankee fans to think big as spring training draws closer.

“Juan Soto is on the team. Aaron Judge’s toe is not jammed up,” Keith said. “Rizzo is not concussed. I know we can do better with the pitching…I hope Volpe takes a step forward. Trevino is back and doesn’t have the bum wrist anymore. There were pieces missing from this team last year, and I think people forget that.”
