Keith needs the NBA season to start already, because he is tired of watching the MLB playoffs and seeing the Yankees being consistently laughed at, whether it is former Bombers thriving in October, or players dominating the playoffs that should have been in pinstripes.
“I hate the Yankees have become the butt of everybody’s jokes,” Keith said. “I hate that this season, the Yankees were the team that everybody circled. Some of the worst teams in the league…circled the Yankees and said ‘Yep, that’s our get-right series. We can beat them.’ They’ve become a laughingstock.”
For Keith, it also doesn’t help that the FOX broadcast team is a constant reminder of the greatest choke job in playoff history in the 2004 ALCS.
“They just always have to bring it up with [Derek] Jeter, A-Rod, and [David] Ortiz,” Keith said. “And don’t look now, the Rangers woke up the sleeping Astros.
“I’m over it. I feel like we’re getting embarrassed. It’s our worst nightmare…the Astros will win back-to-back World Series, and then they’ll say how the last team to win back-to-back series was the Yankees, when they had a three-peat.”
