Keith can't believe 'uncomfortable' feeling in Yankee Stadium after another Mets beatdown
Keith was on the air right after the Mets completed a Subway Series sweep of the Yankees on Wednesday night, fresh out of Yankee Stadium where fans watched another embarrassing beatdown.
“They absolutely dominate, destroy, and handle the Yankees in a way I don’t think I’ve ever seen,” Keith said. “I haven’t been that uncomfortable in Yankee Stadium…once the Mets started putting belt to ass and giving them the smack down…it was crickets in there. It was so quiet in there.
“I tip my cap to the actual Mets on the field. They don’t fear the Yankees. Nobody does.”
Keith was in the building to see the Mets sweep the Yankees in the Subway Series for the first time in 11 years, and still was trying to process the extent of how badly the Yanks were outplayed through four games dating back to last month, as the Mets put up double-digit runs once again, and tagging Gerrit Cole for the second time in a row.
“What we just saw tonight and at Citi Field, when you put these four games together…we got owned,” Keith said. “It was not close. Thirty six runs in four games? I can’t believe my eyes.”
