Keith: Brian Cashman seems to have redeemed himself

Keith hasn’t hid his criticism of Brian Cashman in recent years, ripping moves like the trade for Josh Donaldson and the acquisition of Frankie Montas, to name a couple.

But after watching another game that featured the new-look Yankees battling to take a tight victory, Keith says it’s time to warm up those Cashman apologies.

“I have never been a Fire Cashman guy, but I have been a Cashman hater over the last few years,” Keith said. “What did you do to our team, bro?

“The thing about being the eternal GM of the Yankees, you get more than nine lives. You got more than enough time to redeem yourself, and I think early on, he has redeemed himself.”

Adding pieces like Alex Verdugo, Marcus Stroman, and of course Juan Soto, has given the Yankees a new attitude and a new feel, and Keith says the praise should be as loud as the criticism when it comes to the GM who brought it all together.

“He gave up so many pieces to get Juan Soto, but he got it done,” Keith said. “I give Cashman credit for this bullpen too.”
