Keith: Yankees organization has become 'shameful from top to bottom'

After watching the Braves fully overwhelm the Yankees on Monday, Keith found himself longing to root for an organization as well run and well-constructed as Atlanta, a team that will enter the playoffs as a World Series favorite after winning it all just two years ago.

But, Keith roots for the Yankees, who he says couldn’t be further from the Braves in terms of how the franchise is run.

“I’m jealous of their organization from top to bottom, and looking at this organization from top to bottom, it is shameful,” Keith said. “Yankee fans are embarrassed.

“I feel bad for the young kids who thought this era of Gerrit Cole and Aaron Judge was gonna be a championship era.”

Despite having two of the game’s biggest stars locked up on long term deals, the Yankees have done little to surround Cole and Judge with stars to go all in during this competitive window, while the Braves have locked up all of their stars on long-term deals. Meanwhile, Yankee fans like Keith are left lamenting moves like the Josh Donaldson trade and the Carlos Rodon contract.

“All of the errors, all of the mistakes…it’s starting to show,” Keith said. “You can’t avoid it now. That’s a dead team.”
