Aaron Judge is reportedly back on the Yankees in the form of a massive nine-year, $360 million contract, making him the owner of the richest contract ever signed by a free agent in MLB history.
So, what does that kind of money look like in the life of Judge, who will be enjoying that payday in New York for the next nine seasons?
As has been reported, the $360 million deal gives Judge an AAV of $40 million per season. So, when averaged out over a 162-game campaign, Judge will make 246,914 dollars for every regular season game (of course, the Yankees hope there are plenty of postseason games mixed in there as well.
If we assume each game takes about three hours, that would mean Judge makes 82,305 bucks and hour.
When dividing his $40 million AAV by the number of at-bats Judge had last season (a career-high 570), he makes over 70,000 dollars per at-bat. Not a bad day at the office!
