Pittsburgh man finds a consignment treasure: Jameson Taillon's duffle bag at Goodwill

You never know what you’ll find at a thrift store.

Former Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon, now with the New York Yankees, says he moved out of his place in Bloomfield recently and had some stuff donated to the local Goodwill.

Well one shopper at the South Side Goodwill found what he thought was Taillon’s old duffle bag.

“I think I just bought (Taillon’s) old duffel bag at Goodwill,” said Ian French on Twitter, who bought the bag for only $10.

Taillon confirmed that it indeed used to belong to him: “Lots of miles left in that bad boy.”

No auction, no bidding, a lucky memorabilia find at the thrift store.

"I was out at the Southside Goodwill with my wife looking for things for her shop, she runs an Etsy shop where she resells vintages goods and candles," French told 93.7 The Fan. "I was just milling around, saw the pirates logo, then saw his name on it and just had to get it."

Taillon was traded to the New York Yankees in the offseason and is looking for a strong comeback after his second Tommy John surgery.
