CC Sabathia and Aaron Hicks will get a chance to help send the Yankees to the World Series.
The Bombers released their 25-man roster Saturday for their American League Championship Series against the Astros, and it includes the veteran pitcher and outfielder who missed the AL Division Series while recovering from injuries. Sabathia was battling a left shoulder issue, while Hicks had been out since Aug. 3 with a flexor strain in his right elbow.
The Yankees are going with 13 pitchers and 12 position players against the Astros. First baseman Luke Voit and utilityman Tyler Wade were left off the ALCS roster.
The best-of-seven series gets underway at 8:08 p.m. Saturday in Houston, as the Yankees' Masahiro Tanaka (11-9, 4.45 ERA) battles Zack Greinke (18-5, 2.93).
