The New York Yankees played both games of their doubleheader in Atlanta Wednesday night amidst numerous boycotts throughout sports (including Major League Baseball), and it appears on Yankees farmhand isn’t happy about it.

First baseman Chris Gittens, who was the Eastern League MVP with the Double-A Trenton Thunder in 2019, took to Twitter to apparently blast the Yankees organization, or at least some of those within it, for having no response to the events around sports.

Gittens then later retweeted Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, with a tweet that read “How can you hear the pain Black people are going through and dismiss it as nothing. How can you hear the pain and respond with anything other than ‘I stand with you.’”
