Sal rips Yankees handling of injury updates: 'They flat-out lie'

As the Aaron Judge outlook changed multiple times in a matter of hours this week, Sal called out the Yankees for seemingly always holding back health information with their injured players.

“The Yankees’ lies make me sick,” Sal said. “The Yankees, they flat-out lie. ‘No problem, no issue why we took them out of the game.’ Bullcrap…the Yankees are flat-out liars. They try to hide stuff and be cute, they pretend, they do it all the time, and it is nauseating. They think they’re smarter than everyone else and fooling people, but they get proven wrong every single day.”

Aaron Boone and the Yankees presented Judge’s exit after two at-bats from Sunday’s spring training game as a planned move, and that Judge was fine. Then, Judge didn’t hit in his scheduled batting practice the next day, which was then framed as “mid-spring soreness.” Then, Judge underwent an MRI, and is now non-committal on being ready for Opening Day.

“The Yankees right now are a mess. Their two best players having MRIs!” Sal said, as Judge joined Cole in the MRI tube.”

BT agreed, and his concern about Judge is through the roof.

“It was fishy from the get-go,” BT said. “Come on, it’s not like he’s 39 years old and hanging by a thread…you’re catching some fly balls down in Tampa, running the bags a little bit and taking some swings. It didn’t seem like the natural stop.”
