The White Sox and Yankees will end up playing against each other in the “Field of Dreams” game after all.

The two teams will face one another on Aug. 12, 2021 amid the cornfields of Dyersville, Iowa, Jon Morosi of Fox Sports and MLB Network reported Monday. The game will be televised on Fox.

The White Sox and Yankees had been set to play in Dyersville this past August before the coronavirus pandemic cut the season to 60 games. At that point, the Cardinals replaced the Yankees as the White Sox’s opponent, but the game ended up getting called off at that location due to health concerns.

Dyersville is a town about 4,000 in eastern Iowa in which the famed Field of Dreams was built for the 1989 movie of the same name. An 8,000-seat ballpark was constructed next to site of the field from the movie for this game.

It will be the first MLB game played in the state of Iowa.
