Aaron Judge has figuratively, and now literally, left his mark on the Yankees’ four-game series with the rival Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre this week.
After becoming the talk of baseball on Tuesday for his side-eyed glances before blasting his second home run on Monday night, Judge showed he didn’t need to peek at anything to launch a no-doubt moonshot on Tuesday night, giving the Yanks a 5-3 lead in the eighth inning with a towering blast to dead center.
The 448-foot blast crashed into the maple leaf logo above the batter’s eye, breaking a piece off the top of the leaf that marked the flight deck for fans to watch from above the center field wall.
Judge, who had been hearing chants of “cheater” from fans in right field throughout the game, pointed towards that direction as he rounded the bases after the eventual game-winning blast.
It was Judge’s third home run of the series, which still has two games to go.
