On Tuesday’s show, Gio stressed that whoever catches any of Aaron Judge’s historic home run balls should try and get the souvenir’s worth, rather than give it back for nothing.
But 20-year-old Michael Kessler basically did just that on Tuesday night, catching Judge’s 60th home run ball before giving it back for a photo, a couple signed bats and balls, and a thank you to Judge.
Noble? Yes. Smart? Not in the eyes of Gio.
“You’re 20 years old, you put that up for auction, and you could stash away $150,000f for your life because you got that baseball, and you want to give it to Aaron Judge so you can get a picture signed??” Gio yelled. “It’s a terrible decision! Keep that ball and put it up for auction. It’s not being a jerk, it’s just the smart thing to do.”
Boomer pondered that maybe Kessler came from a family that didn’t need that money, but Gio didn’t care. He is convinced it was a massive missed opportunity.
“Then take the money and give it to a charity!!” a furious Gio said.
