Aaron Judge belted his 45th home run of the season on Wednesday afternoon, while the Giants were rocked 13-7 by the Padres to fall 23.5 games out of first place in the NL West.
The antidote for falling out of the divisional competition against the stacked Padres and Dodgers? Boomer says it should be going out and getting Aaron Judge.
“Hello, San Francisco Giants,” Boomer said when discussing Judge’s pending free agency. “I can definitely see the Giants.”
The Giants have fallen off dramatically after a 107-win season in 2021, and could be a big player for Judge, a California native. Boomer says signing a superstar and face of the sport would be a big step towards making it a true three-team battle in the division next year.
“Especially with what’s going on out here with the NL West, think about how the Dodgers spend and what the Padres just did,” Boomer said. “The Giants are gonna get left in the dust.
“They need to do something.”
