The Yankees made it official on Tuesday, announcing they have reinstated Luke Voit from the 10-day IL after he completed a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Sunday.

Voit has been out since May 25 with a grade two strain in his oblique, and has played in just 12 games this season after missing the first five weeks of the year following surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus.

The Yanks have struggled to find production at first base in Voit’s absence, and last year’s home run leader will look to carry over the success he was enjoying at Double-A, picking up six hits in 17 at-bats, including a pair of home runs. He is slashing .182/.280/.250 at the major league level in 50 plate appearances so far this season.

Additionally, lefty relievers Darren O’Day and Justin Wilson will also begin rehab assignments at Triple-A on Tuesday, with O’Day coming back from a rotator cuff strain that has sidelined him since May 1, and Wilson working his way back from a hamstring strain.
