The Yankees have finally been able to string together a couple of wins, most recently taking down Max Scherzer on Monday night, and BT is starting to plant his feet back on the Bronx Bomber hype train.
“The last two days, and maybe this is an overreaction, I have seen an avenue for the Yankees to grow into a championship team, which I have not seen before the last two days,” BT said.
What has changed most for the Yankees? BT says it’s the awakening of one of their trade deadline acquisitions, which has helped somewhat awaken what was a badly struggling lineup.
“Andrew Benintendi has remembered to hit, which changes the entire dynamic of the lineup,” BT said.
“I’m not saying this is a championship team. But at least now, you start to see the makings of a lineup, if Benintendi is Benintendi, where the Yankees can do some damage and beat good teams and good pitchers.”
Tiki doesn’t agree, and still doesn’t think the Yanks will have enough when Giancarlo Stanton returns to the lineup.
“He can change the dynamic, but it’s not enough,” Tiki said.
“It’s just not going to be enough.”
