Yankees arbitration tracker 2022: Team agrees to terms with everyone except Aaron Judge

The Yankees entered Tuesday morning with plenty of work to do, considering they had 12 players, second most in the majors, that needed contracts settled by the end of the day to avoid arbitration hearings. We have seen those hearings get ugly at times (see Randy Levine and Dellin Betances), so it is always preferable to come to a deal and avoid those unpleasantries.

So, with Aaron Judge, Joey Gallo, Gleyber Torres, Jameson Taillon, Chad Green, Jordan Montgomery, Wandy Peralta, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Jonathan Loaisiga, Kyle Higashioka, Clay Holmes, and Miguel Andujar all needing attention, here is the running total of who has agreed to a contract, and for how much:

Joel Sherman reported that Higashioka and Peralta agreed to deals, while Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that Gleyber Torres agreed to earn $6.25 million in 2022. ESPN's Jeff Passan reported that Kiner-Falefa agreed to a $4.7 million contract in what will be his first season in pinstripes.

UPDATE: The Yankees announced Tuesday night that they had agreed to terms with 11 of the 12 players, the lone outlier being Judge. The Yankee slugger came in at $21 million, and the Yanks $17 million. The two sides could agree to a contract extension before an arbitration hearing.
