Frankie Montas was gifted a 5-0 lead on Friday night, but the struggling Yankees trade deadline acquisition failed to get out of the fourth inning in a deflating loss.
Montas served up a three-run home run to Willy Adames to get the Brewers right back in the game, and allowed another run to score before being pulled in the fourth, as his ERA with the Yanks inflated to 6.35 in what was his eighth start.
During Montas’ latest clunker, Yankee fans on Twitter made it known that eight starts was enough, and they don’t want to see the righty on the mound any longer.
