Baseball is back, spring training has begun, and that means one thing for Yankees getting ready to return to camp:

Time to shave those faces!

That’s right, the franchise’s facial hair policy is still a thing, which means the Bombers that had been growing out those beards during the 99-day lockout needed to pick up a razor before reporting to camp on Friday. One of those players was Gleyber Torres, who shared his shave on social media.

Torres will also be hoping to shave away memories of last year, as he struggled for much of 2021 after slumping in the early stages of the shortened 2020 season as well. The two-time All-Star hopes to put his defensive struggles behind him now that he’s back at second base, where he smacked nearly 40 home runs in a breakout 2019 campaign.
