Is there some big Yankees news coming?

Sunday is the annual Heights & Lights Festival in Stamford, Connecticut, which every year sees Yankees general manager Brian Cashman rappel down the side of the Landmark Building in Stamford as part of the festivities.
On Wednesday, though, the Yankees sent out a release saying that “unfortunately, Brian Cashman will not be rappelling this year, due to his NY Yankees travel schedule.”
Where and what for Cashman is traveling was not revealed - it may simply be a travel conflict because MLB's Winter Meetings begin Monday in San Diego - but perhaps something else is in the works that would not allow the GM to take part in the practice rappel on Friday and/or the event itself.
He has been replaced by FOX News Channel meteorologist Adam Klotz, a name much less interesting to Yankees fans at least, and now we’re left to watch the news over the next week.
