As the trade deadline draws closer, the Yankees are reportedly looking into one of their chronic tormentors, who once again terrorized them in this past weekend’s series against the Rockies.

According to MLB.com insider Mark Feinsand, the Yanks are “monitoring” the corner outfield market, and one name that has come up is Rockies outfielder Randal Grichuk, who went deep against the Bombers on Friday, his 18th home run against the Yanks since 2018, which is tied with Rafael Devers for the most by an opponent in that span.

Grichuk, 31, has put together a solid season, batting an even .300 with an .837 OPS in 203 at-bats, though he only has five home runs on the season despite having the luxury of playing his home games at Coors Field.

The Yanks are in dire need of corner outfield help, with Aaron Judge still without a timeline for his return, and the absence of a true left fielder for the entire season.
