While the games don’t count just yet, C-Mac can’t help but grow excited at the possibility of a resurgent Stanton being placed in the middle of the Yankee lineup.
“Giancarlo Stanton looks locked in,” C-Mac said. “If this body change actually helps, if stays healthy, and he’s locked in the way he was today with three bombs, and becomes a dangerous element in the middle of this lineup, then you are talking about the best lineup in the American league.”
Stanton’s home runs left the bat at 108.8, 110.4, and 113.2 mph, as he showed off his trademark power despite slimming down noticeably over the offseason. It could wind up being one of the biggest storylines for the Yanks in 2024, especially if Stanton stays healthy and swings the bat like he did on Wednesday.
“Look at what this team can be if Giancarlo Stanton is what we saw yesterday,” C-Mac said. “You got a chance to see what the X-factor of this lineup can be.”
