Oswaldo Cabrera ignited the Yankee Stadium crowd for the second time in under 24 hours, and this time did so from a different position.
After robbing a home run on the first at-bat of Friday’s game in just his second start in right field since the start of his pro career, the recent Yankee call-up was at third base on Saturday afternoon and chased down a foul pop, holding on while colliding into the tarp and flipping over for the second out of the third inning.
Cabrera looked shaken up afterward, crouching down and putting both hands on his head, before rising to his feet on his own and staying in the game.
In his fourth big-league game, Cabrera has already played three different positions, manning shortstop on Thursday and playing the hot corner on Saturday and Wednesday night, his big-league debut.
