New Yankee call-up Oswaldo Cabrera is quickly becoming the team’s Swiss Army knife.
Cabrera is starting for the Yanks for the third straight game since being promoted, and it will be in his third different position. After debuting with the Bombers at third base, Cabrera got the start at shortstop during Thursday night’s loss to the Blue Jays, and on Friday, he is slated to play right field.
It isn’t anything particularly new for Cabrera, who played plenty of third base, shortstop, and second base in the minor leagues, and even played one game apiece at each corner outfield spot.
Cabrera doesn’t have as much experience in right, but he won’t have as much ground to cover thanks to the short porch in right field.
Aaron Judge gets the start in center adjacent to Cabrera, who picked up his first big-league hit on Thursday in a two-hit night.
