The Yankees announced Saturday afternoon that LHP Justin Wilson has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain, one day after he allowed Robbie Grossman's 10th-inning walk-off home run that gave Detroit a 3-2 win over the Yankees.

To replace Wilson on the roster, the Yankees recalled RHP Albert Abreu, who was optioned to Triple-A after Friday's game as the move for the pending call-up of Saturday's starter, Deivi Garcia.

Wilson missed the beginning of the season with a shoulder injury, and has struggled to find his form since returning. Over 15 appearances and 13 1/3 innings this year, Wilson has allowed nine earned runs (a 6.08 ERA, with a 6.79 FIP) and a 1.425 WHIP, with the league hitting .245 and OPSing .899 against him.

“I haven't pitched well,” Wilson said after Friday's loss. “I know that and no one's harder on myself than me. I just need to pitch better.”
