Boomer and Gio had some differing opinions when it came to Rangers manager Chris Woodward’s “little league park” comments about Yankee Stadium.

Gio didn’t want to hear Woodward’s sorry excuses for Gleyber Torres’ walk-off home run, which would have been gone in 25 other ballparks, per Statcast.

“That’s the opposite of Max Scherzer, who doesn’t make any excuses,” Gio said during Monday’s show. “Here’s Woodward talking about a little league park as if his team, they move the fences back when the rangers hit, and move them in for the Yankees. Give me a break.

“If you’re Chris Woodward, stop complaining. Please shut up.”

But Boomer felt Woodward had some beef, and took the opportunity to talk a little trash about Yankee Stadium’s short porch in right field, which Texas capitalized on in the very next game.

“The thing about the Rangers, they come in for maybe four games…it’s a hitters park,” Boomer said. “You want to see a real park, go to Citi Field.”

Gio didn’t want to hear anyone taking sides with Woodward after his complaints following a loss that had little to do with a short porch in right field.

“You cannot be siding with the whiny excuse,” Gio said. “Just stop.”
