The Red Sox are coming to town on Thursday, with Aaron Judge still hunting down history and home run Nos. 61 and 62.

But Gio thinks Boston will do whatever it can to ensure that Judge has no celebration at their expense.

“The rivalry that is there, they hate each other, they’ve always hated each other, and now you’ve got Aaron Judge on No. 60,” Gio said. “Do they want to be the team that this happens against? Do their pitchers want to be the ones who go into the record books?

“It’s different when you’re talking about the Pirates or the Rangers…I think the Red Sox, this entire series, are not gonna give him a single thing to hit because they want no part of this history in Yankee Stadium.”

Michael Wacha, who has had the better of Judge throughout his career, takes the ball in Thursday’s series opener, but Gio is still expecting nothing but junk to Judge this weekend.

“They’re not playing for anything at this point,” Gio said. “This would be a negative cherry on top of a bad season if they’re the ones watching this celebration happen…I don’t think they’re gonna give him anything to hit.”
