The Yankees’ season from hell continued on Sunday.
While they somehow pulled out a win over the Brewers after 10-plus no-hit innings, it was still a gloomy day in the Bronx with news that 20-year-old sensation Jasson Dominguez has a torn UCL.
This will likely require Tommy John surgery, although nothing has been scheduled yet, noted Yankees manager Aaron Boone.
The recovery time for a position player undergoing UCL surgery is typically nine to 10 months.
Dominguez, the Yankees’ top prospect, was recalled from Triple-A on Sept. 1 and immediately provided a spark to the lineup, hitting four home runs in eight games with a slash line of .258/.303/.677 and .980 OPS.
