The Yankees have reportedly found their Wandy Peralta replacement.
According to multiple reports, the Yanks have swung a deal with the Dodgers for lefty reliever Caleb Ferguson, as the Bombers will part with Matt Gage (recently claimed off waivers), according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
The move allows the Dodgers to sign former Red Sox reliever Ryan Brasier.
Ferguson posted a 3.43 ERA in 60.1 innings of work last season, and pitched to a sparkling 1.84 ERA in 34.2 innings in 2022, with arm soreness limiting his work that season. He is a free agent in 2025.
The Yankees needed lefty help in the bullpen after Peralta signed a four-year deal with the Padres, and Ferguson will join a relief group that includes Clay Holmes, Tommy Kahnle, Jonathan Loaisiga, Scott Effross, and Ian Hamilton.
